      Cathedral of Saint-Benin is a unique historical value and monuments of the French city of Dijon, the capital of Burgundy. The Holy Martyr Benin Dijon, preached Christianity are in the II century AD, is considered the patron saint of city. The first church of Saint Benin was built in the year 511. It was reconstructed several times, and in 1137 died in a fire that destroyed much of the city.

      In the period from 1280 to 1325 during the burial place of St. Benin was erected beautiful Gothic cathedral. He was consecrated in 1393, and in the XVIII century became the cathedral.
